Description

ARP Head Studs for 1989-1998 Dodge Cummins 12v. Bottom Tap Required. No Milling of Rocker Arms Required.

12mm Head Stud Kit for 1989-1998 Dodge Cummins. Recommended for applications up to 80PSI on a single turbocharger with no nitrous, propane etc. Engines with injectables, Compound turbos or and 6.7L application would greatly benefit from going to the stronger H11/L-19 ARP247-4203B-L19 or Custom Aged 625 ARP studs. These Studs are made by ARP using the same ARP2000 materail used in 247-4203.

Bonus: Milling of Rocker Arms is not required. The updated designs allows there to be enough clearance on the nut to use the washer and have clearance to install the valve cover withour clearance issues. about 1 in 10 engines will have valve covers that will need to have some of the webbing on the valve cover to be ground for clearance).

Note: The bolts in the Cummins blocks are not tapped to the bottom. These studs have been designed with more threads to reduce stress on both the threads and the block. A 12mm x 1.75 BOTTOM TAP IS REQUIRED. Although some have had success tapping the block with the head on it is NOT RECOMMENDED. The Head should come off before the block is bottom tapped.
