This is designed for the
1994 - 2002 Dodge Ram Cummins turbo diesel trucks. In testing, we saw
massive reductions in Intake air temps. This helps to increase power,
engine efficiency, and even reduces turbo spool time!
A QUESTION ASKED OFTEN is this unit a factory replacement or more of a performance-related product? ON3 designed this kit with performance being the main
goal, it is vastly superior to the stock intercooler in every way and is
used by many people pulling, drag racing as well as typical street
driving duties.. It doesn't matter if you have a stock truck that
occasionally tows, or an all out race truck, this intercooler is perfect
for every combo.
This core is 3" thick with 3" inlet and outlets on the intercooler. The actual core size is 17.75" tall and its 36" wide.
Our THICK Cast Aluminum end-tanks are Extremely Strong!!! Rated for up to 85psi!
With this intercooler, you will need 45 degree 3" silicone coupler Kit to adapt this intercooler to fit up properly.
This intercooler does not work with the factory Trans cooler. However, it will work with the factory AC condenser.
In order to make this intercooler fit such a wide range of trucks, it sometimes will take tweaks and bends slightly to make it bolt up correctly. Also on the truck we fit this in, we extended the intercooler pipe to the engine about 1.5″. Just using a longer silicone coupler would have worked just fine as well. We just want everything clear so you know what to expect for the install.
Don't forget to add the XL lower IC boots/clamps to make install easy.
